coco palm was established in 2003 by Cynthia Hung and partners. Cynthia is a self-taught designer who travels far and frequently, someone who trusts her instincts and brings into life a clear vision on whatever design she is working on.

Making Design Work

Cynthia is just as fascinated by the processes involved in making a design tick as she is amazed by the industry in general. As such, she has developed a passion towards providing solutions for fashion companies, enabling them to make designs on paper be sample- and production-ready.

The European market has been the focus for Cynthia since the creation of coco palm in 2003. Over the years Cynthia has travelled extensively in Europe and has visited the majority of important European fashion fairs, including CPD, Prêt à Porter, A-Fair, and Modefabriek, to name just a few. She is convinced that Europe, without being limited to a city or a country, is her second home and she feels at ease in cities as diverse as Paris, London, Amsterdam, Antwerp, or Innsbruck.

Since 2005 Cynthia has been working with a number of fashion companies based in Europe. The primary service she provides is offering development solutions in China, where she has cultivated mills producing good quality and fashionable fabric, manufacturers specialised in ladies’ wear and washing houses which can handle special washing techniques.

Persistence To Make Samples

With a keen eye, Cynthia is handy at getting the appropriate fabric qualities and trims for the initial samples, which she believes should never be compromised. Talking of which, she is passionate to help.

At the start of each season, she can be called up to travel to different European cities to meet fashion brands wishing to develop a collection of new designs. There, she works with designers on production feasibility and preliminary recommendations can usually be done.

Cynthia has never failed to deliver samples for exhibitions or showroom presentations within a normal time frame set by some of the most serious brands.

Accessories To Match Collection

Cynthia understands how important it is to find the right accessories for an attractive outfit. With support of partners who specialise in leather goods and jewellery, she has helped developed collections of belts, caps, bags, and jewellery to match the main fashion line of various brands over the years, which completes the fashion collection.
